Transition Group Transition Long Ashton is the community working together to reduce our carbon footprint and oil dependence, in response to climate change and the end of cheap oil. Amongst our initiatives, the food group supports local food growing and buying, the energy group promotes reduced energy use and sustainable fuels including solar power, and the transport group seeks ways to reduce our reliance on car use. This new Long
Ashton market aims to support the development of local producers and
businesses with an active interest in sustainable practices. It will
also provide an opportunity for visitors to meet various local
groups and find out about exciting and interesting things happening
in the village and surrounding area. |
